Questor's Bible (tm) by Filbert Firx
Being a Compendium of Useful Facts
The Firx Underground Empire (FUE) is a vast network of underground
rooms orginally built as the home of FIRX Enterprises, and now long since
abandoned to rats, beebles and other creatures. It consists of three levels,
to wit, levels 1,2 and 3. Most of the accouterments of the maze (for such it
is) have been removed by scavengers; however, vending machines, installed by
Felix Firx II, last CEO of FUE, for the benefit of employees, still remain
functional, as they operate by MagiFax (tm). Also, a number of small metal
cash boxes strew the halls, as they are indestructable and im-moveable. As
to the creatures inhabiting FUE, see my monographs on the subject.
Somewhere, deep in the heart of FUE, no doubt, is a fabulous object
which is and has been the goal of countless adventurers, such as the reader of
this modest pamphlet. This is, of course, a platinum key to FIRXland, the
goal of all right-thinking adventurers everywhere in the universe. The
lucky finder of the platinum key will enjoy a life made carefree and happy
by FIRX the Fabulous, emperor of FIRXland, and may live out his days in
care-free abandonment, surrounded by every luxury known to man and beast, and
then some.
`How do I find the platinum key?', you ask. The only answer is,
look for it. It's in here somewhere. Countless dangers await the unwary,
however, so be forewarned: it ain't easy. Good luck. Buy my other books.
